Sour Milk, Laundry, Boxes, and more Boxes

So, this month has been crazy! Since my last post, I have unwittingly drunk sour milk, modeled for a professional photographer, packed a bunch of boxes, read nine novels, folded a ton of laundry, washed a lot of dishes, vacuumed the house I don't know how many times, and played "Baby if you love me". I'm not going to go into details about the milk or the game of "Baby if you love me".

Anyway, I did some modeling for this photographer who is recently getting his portfolio back together. (johnbpritchett.com. That's me in Gallery 4) He likes the runway type of thing, so it was like nothing I’ve ever done before. I had a lot of fun. The makeup his assistant put on me was a little on the thick side and my mom didn't like it that much so if I do it again, I'm going to see if I can apply my own makeup.

As far as boxes and moving goes, well, trying to be outta hear by the 30th aint gonna work. At the rate we're going, we're not going to be gone for another month. there are a lot of issues we hadn't planned for that have come up and it's driving my entire family insane. I've packed all of my books thinking we were going to be gone and now I'm wishing I hadn't. My bookshelf looks so empty.

We no longer have the chickens. seeing as we are moving, we have given them away. YAY! I hate chickens. We also tried to get rid of our goat, Maya, but that didn't work too well. The people we gave her to called us about four days after and asked us to take her back. Apparently, she was knocking over all their sheep and eating their trampoline. Typical Maya.

A Day in the Non-Normal Life

Hello and welcome to another boring episode in the non-normal life of me. Today as you know, is September first and the beginning of my favorite month. I have no idea why. I just happen to like September. the fact that it's the start of fall might have something to do with it...

When I was younger, doing chores felt like the end of the world, but now that I'm older I'm shocked to find that I actually go looking for them out of sheer boredom. You see, if I was a normal person, I would currently be sitting in some college class room with my eyes glued to the page of a really thick text book. But I am not a normal person (as I have already said). My family is moving and we hope to be gone by the end of September. We were supposed to be gone by June, but that didn't work out so well. Anyway, taking classes in the midst of a move and then not being around to finish them would be rather unintelligent, so I am going to wait until spring to start.

Until then, I will spend my time packing boxes or wondering what to do with myself when I am not packing boxes. Reading is a good time killer, but I seem to have run out of books again. Bother.
