Introduction to My Darkside: Mwahahaha!!!! Not.

Sometimes I wonder why the villains never win. I mean, good will always triumph over evil and all that jazz, but they always get to have the most fun! or it seems like it. And have you ever noticed that the villain is more powerful than the hero? For me, the best part about writing is that I can be the villain, but not suffer the consequences. Mwahahahahaha!

alright, enough with the jokes, but seriously, i always have more fun writing the villain than my heroes. I think it's the whole playing with fire bit. it's thrilling. It also gives my characters more to react to, which means more story and everyone's happy!

Speaking of which, Dare is turning into quite a monster. I really jumped into a world that I know nothing about and it is going to take me forever during my second draft to get rid of all the half written shadows and murky background. I'm thinking that as December rolls around, I'm going to shelf Dare for a while and get back to Starshard. I can practically hear Pihm and Aleu (not to mention Tessa, Olivia and David from an earlier book) shouting at me telling me that I have a story that needs to be finished. Make that two stories. I'm still on my second draft of No Light Without Shadow. But after Dare, I am about ready to slip into the familiar world I've created and sink my teeth back into that story. To bad I'm only 70% done with Dare. Sigh.
